Lecce's coach Fabio Liverani spoke in his post-match press conference after the 1-1 draw against Cagliari at the Via del Mare stadium on Matchday 13 of the Serie A TIM 2019/2020.
“Today we played football, creating 10 chances, whilst our goalkeeper didn’t even make half a save. Their penalty was a half-penalty, which could be given with VAR, and a counterattack."
“Since the third matchday, we’ve been outside of the relegation zone and that’s the way I would like to keep it until the end of the season. That’s the objective. Except for the Atalanta game, we have done very well, even today we didn’t deserve to lose. We suffered for periods during the game, but we continued to play in our style and never threw away possession.”
