Liverpool boss Klopp confirms \'nothing changed\' with Barcelona target Coutinho

Published on: 22 August 2017

Jurgen Klopp has admitted nothing has changed with the Philippe Coutinho situation at Liverpool.

The Brazilian will miss the Reds all-important Champions League clash with Hoffenheim on Wednesday with an apparent back injury.

However, the injury has suspiciously coincided with Barcelona having three bids rejected for Coutinho. The Catalan giants reportedly told Liverpool that their latest bid had a deadline, which was Sunday night at 7pm.

But Klopp refused to comment on the matter in his press conference prior to Wednesday's match.

"I never give any comments on any whoever said, wrote whatever. It is 100 per cent clear that nothing changed," said Klopp.

"I said already, my English is not good enough to give five different answers and always the same question, so nothing changed."

Liverpool will take a 2-1 lead into the second leg at Anfield.
