Liverpool Keep Tabs on Championship Starlet But Face Competition From Man Utd, Arsenal & Spurs

Liverpool have been keeping tabs on young Fulham left-backRyan Sessegnon by scouting him each week since his debut, according toreports.


The 16-year-old became the first professional footballerborn in the 2000's to score a goal in English football in August after he scored against Cardiff in the Championship.

And since his goal, the Premier League heavyweights have been circling the youngster, with theDaily Mailreporting that Sessegnon is wanted by Manchester United, Tottenham, Liverpool and Arsenal.


Jurgen Klopp isparticularlykeen, having sent scouts to observe the Fulham defender in each of their eight league games so far this season.


Although he is naturally a left-sided defender, he also has the ability to play further up the wing and his versatility is understood to be a huge selling point.

However, his Fulham teammateKevin McDonald believes the wonderkid should stay put at Craven Cottage for the time being, despite interest from big clubs.


Ryan's at a great club to learn his trade and progress," McDonald said, as quoted in theDaily Star.The experience he's getting in games and training with the players every day is good for him.


I'm sure he will continue kicking on. He has everything in his locker to be a top player and it's up to him how he does it.�


Fulham have endured a slow start to the 2016/17 season, losing just once, but also drawing four of their opening eight fixtures, leaving the Cottagersin ninth in the table.
