Liverpool News: Murphy blasts U17 WC winners; Brewster knows he\'ll get chance

Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy has rapped England's U17 World Cup winners.

Murphy was unimpressed by the youngsters' antics for the celebratory photo call.

Steve Cooper's victorious squad turned their shirts around for the celebratory photos – so that their names were plastered across every picture.

Murphy told talkSPORT: “There's no England badge in the picture of them winning the World Cup – for me, that's wrong.

“They've all turned their shirts around because they want their names across their chests, so everybody across the world can see who they are.

“They're all saying, 'I'm a good young player coming through, look at me', but that in itself is what is wrong with society."

Meanwhile, England U17 starlet Rhian Brewster knows he's made the right choice joining Liverpool.

Bwin stats have revealed the Reds have shown their faith in youngsters by giving more Premier League debuts to teenagers than any other side in the division.

24 Liverpool teens have been given debuts over the past 10 years, with Arsenal the closest to them with 21 and Manchester United on 20.

Brewster won the Golden Boot at this month's U17 World Cup in India.
