Liverpool and England star Adam Lallana hopes to be available by the time the Reds play their next match, a Premier Leaguefixture against Bournemouth next Sunday.

The team have been without their exciting attacker since before the international break, as he picked up a groininjury whilst on duty with the Three Lions in a friendly match against Spain.

He has missed Liverpool's last two games as a result, but the Reds did cope without him against Sunderland on Saturday, after previouslydrawing with Southampton last weekend - which allowed Chelsea to leapfrog them to top spot.

He has resumed light indoor training with the club's fitness coachAndreas Kornmayer, and believes that he will need just one more week to be fully fit. The 28-year-oldwill sit out Liverpool's EFL Cup clash against Leeds United on Tuesday, but according to the Echo (H/T theMetro), the player is targeting a return against the Cherries on Sunday.

Liverpool have been hit with a bit of an injury bug, and won't have Roberto Firmino, Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho to call upon when they host Leeds at Anfield on Tuesday, also due to injury.

Coutinho - who has been a standout attacker for the club this season - was stretchered off after suffering an ankle injury against Sunderland on Saturday. He is suspected to have also suffered ligament damage, but will undergo scans in the coming days.

Sturridge complained with tightness in his calf ahead of the game against theBlack Cats, and did not train. But Firmino, who took a kick to the calf during the match, will not require any scans.
