Spanish legend Luis Suarez has revealed how Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti rejected the chance to sign Cristiano Ronaldo.
Real Madrid star Ronaldo is today celebrating his fifth Ballon d'Or triumph, which was presented to him in Paris last night.
While the failure of Juventus to beat Manchester United to his signing in 2003 is well known, former Inter and Barcelona star Luisito has revealed how the Portuguese could have been snapped up by Inter during the same time.
The Spaniard recalled to Mediaset: "I went to see Cristiano Ronaldo when he was in the Sporting CP youth team. I scouted him.
"I proposed him to Moratti, but Inter continued to stall..."
