Mahatma Otoo’s brace propel Balikesirspor to 3-1 win over Giresunspor

Ghana international Mahatma Otoo netted a brace on Monday afternoon to propel his Balikesirspor Kulübü Derneği outfit to a massive 3-1 win against Giresunspor Klübü in Turkey.

The new football season in Turkey commenced this weekend with teams in both the top-flight and lower-tier playing their various season openers.

Today, Balikesirspor Kulübü Derneği and Giresunspor Klübü whom did not play over the weekend locked horns at the Balikesir Atatürk Stadium to honour a meeting on Matchday 1.

Having earned a starting role for the home team, Mahatma Otoo put up an excellent performance to inspire his team to victory.

The striker scored in added minutes of the first half after he was assisted by Foxi Kethevohama to send Balikesirspor into the break with a lead.

In the second half, he found the back of the net again on the 74th minute to double the lead for his side.

Later in added time, Emir Dede added a 3rd to complete a resounding win for Balikesirspor although Muhammed Ertürk netted a consolation goal minutes later.

Mahatma Otoo lasted the entire duration of the game and finished with a very high rating.
