Ghanaian international Abdul Majeed Warris has been named ‘Man of the Match’ after finding the back of the net to hand Racing Strasbourg a crucial win against Toulouse.

The striker recently joined the French Ligue 1 side on loan from FC Porto for the rest of the season. Looking to rediscover his form, he has been giving out his all whenever he is called into action at his new club.

Yesterday, Warris was named as a substitute for Racing Strasbourg and was introduced in the second half while the game was still barren.

Two minutes after coming on, the Ghanaian forward hit the back of the net after receiving a nice through ball. The goal eventually proved to be the decider as it earned Strasbourg an important win.

At the end of the match, Abdul Majeed Warris was adjudged as the man of the match for his impressive display.

He pulled 31% of the total votes to beat Alexander Djiku (26.9%), Stefan Mitrovic (18.3%), as well as Andrien Thomasson.
