Man City Boss Pep Guardiola Wants to Secure Future of English Wonderkid Jadon Sancho

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is looking to secure the long-term future of Jadon Sancho amidst interest from Premier League rivals Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham. The 16-year-old English wonderkid is expected to be offered a new three-year deal which will keep him at the Etihad until 2020.


According to reports from theDaily Mail, Guardiola has given his blessing for Sancho to sign new terms. The England youth player scored twice in his first four minutes on his City U18's debut recently and has been invited to train alongside the first team.

Sancho signed for City in March 2015 from Watfordfor a fee of £500k but his progression has been so rapid, he's generated interested from London clubs who hoped to exploit the rumours he is homesick.


Guardiola will move fast to secure the services of the left winger, as it has also become apparent that Phil Foden and Brahim Diaz are being earmarked for bright futures at City. The former Barcelona man will be confident of all three youngsters signing new dealsas they progress through the clubs academy.

The Citizens have spent millions of pounds over recent years to help rejuvenate their academy and training facilities to produce talent from within. The rise of Sancho and his expected foray into the first team could pay dividends for some of the clubs outlay.


Meanwhile, Guardiola and company are back in action on Sunday afternoon when they take on Sunderland at the Stadium of Light in the Premier League.
