Manchester United pair Ander Herrera and Juan Mata used the popular "face swap" filter on one of their cheeky selfies - and people are allkinds of confused.

The Spanish duo snapped themselves in a car and applied the modifier, which Mata then posted on his Twitter accountaccompanied by athinking emojifor the caption.

It was quite the suitable caption, because the final image certainly looked like it couldpass as a real photograph - Mata's body is on the left and Herrera on the right, just to avoid any confusion.

The close pals were seemingly in a positive place ahead of Thursday's Europa League clash with Russian club FC Rostov - United will be hoping for a result from the potentially tricky game to take back to Old Trafford for the return leg where they will certainly fancy their chances.

The state of Rostov's pitch has come in for criticism from United boss Jose Mourinho, who believes the tie should have been postponed.

A video emerged on social media of two Red Devils bouncing balls on the ground to test out its firmness and needless to say, it certainly looks quite unforgiving.

United have been going well of late; they claimed their first silverware of the season with victory over Southampton at Wembley in the EFL Cup final, and are currently on a 17-match unbeaten run in the Premier League, but remain sixth in the table behind Champions League rivals Arsenal and Liverpool.
