Manchester City sends Jeremie Frimpong a signed jersey ahead of his Glasgow derby

Jeremie Frimpong has received a signed jersey from his boyhood club Manchester city, wishing him well ahead of his match against Rangers tomorrow.

The Dutch defender joined Celtic at a price of  £350,000 from Manchester City in the summer transfer window and has been sensational for the Scottish champions since the start of the 2019/20 campaign. In that process, he has become a firm fans’ favorite.

Manager Neil Lennon has several big calls to make when he decides his starting line-up this weekend. Nowhere more so than at right-back.

And he will have to gamble Frimpong to cope with the occasion in the absence of Hatem Elhamed.

But Simon Donnelly, the former Celtic forward who won the League Cup back in 1997, believes the skillful youngster suits his manager’s attacking style of play and hopes he is handed his debut in the Glasgow derby
