Manchester City are in the process of revamping their Etihad Stadium ahead of next season, with a host of state-of-the-art innovations being lineup up that will bring fans 'closer' to their heroes, as reported by theDaily Mail.

One of the newest gimmicks will be a circular dressing room as well, asa glass players' tunnel, -coined The Tunnel Club -designed for Citizens supporters to observe their stars ahead of kick-off, which isbased on the conceptone currently in use at the Dallas Cowboys' AT&T Stadium in American Football's NFL.

These innovations will be taking place under the Colin Bell Stand, with the club releasing poignant images that will no doubt whet the appetite of their fans, particularly those dining in the new executive lounges, with a complete view of both teams emerging from the changing rooms.

These are expected to be complete for the 2017-18 season, with City officials insistent that the changes will maintain their position amongst the continent's elite. The Manchester club will also install hydrotherapy pools, along with warm-up sections.

The alterations were decided so as to mirror the City Football Academy, with the observation area intended to inhibit any possible cliques developing within the squad, and was apparently sanctioned by manager Pep Guardiola.

The report states that construction will be stepped up with the club set to use a different tunnel, at the North End,from the start of January, coinciding with their fixture versus Burnley.

We are temporarily relocating the players' tunnel at the Etihad Stadium until the end of the 16/17 season.

The relevant authorities have given the green light to the project, even if City and opposition officials are reticent over the full-scale observation, although players will not be able to see through the glass themselves, and will thus be warned, accordingly, to act in a civilised manner!

Hospitality spectators will also be privy to tactical insights from the performance analysis area, in addition to post-match interviews.
