Manchester United have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of a long-term addition to their already storiedforward line, with Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann hitting out at rumours linking him with a move to Old Trafford.

The Frenchman has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League with Jose Mourinho's side all season, but toldSpain's TVE Telediario de La1that he sees no reason to leave Madrid.

"I am always asked the same question," he said, "and I am pretty sick of it, but like I always say, I am very happy here.I have learned a lot over time, I have the best teammates and a top coach. So I am doing very well here and there is no reason to go."

He also insisted that he expects manager Diego Simeone to stay put over the summer too, despite media reports linking him with both the Arsenal job and the top role at Inter over the course of the season.

"He likes it here, he sees in us a squad that has more to give and he does as well," Griezmann said. "He wants to go very far in Champions and La Liga and soon we will have a new stadium. I am sure he will continue with us."

With Atletico trailing Real and Barcelona by some distance this season, the 25-year-old took time to praise La Liga's two biggest stars, saying:"Messi is top, he can completely turn a match around whenever he wants and Cristiano is a player who goes to work, he always strives for the best."
