Ghana international, Kamaldeen Sulemana has revealed that he turned down a transfer away from FC Nordsjaelland in the January transfer window.

According to him, although Ajax wanted to secure his services in the winter window, he decided to stay put in Denmark to ensure he finished the 2020/2021 Danish Superliga campaign strongly.

“I knew [Marc] Overmars was coming [to the Copenhagen match],” Kamaldeen Sulemana told Discovery+ in an interview after the 2-2 draw against FC Copenhagen on Monday.

The Black Stars asset continued, “I have always had my motivation. I know they are interested in me and want me.

“They put a bid in for me in January. I said no, I can’t move. I wanted to be here and finish the season strongly.”

Besides Ajax, English Premier League giants Manchester United are interested in Kamaldeen Sulemana and are expected to make attempts to sign the talented forward in the summer transfer window.
