A first half penalty from Tetteh Nortey handed debutantes Elmina Sharks all three points in a slender 1-0 victory over Ashgold at the Papa Kwesi Nduom Stadium on Saturday.

The Sharks continued their good form to the start of the season by dominating possession and scored the only goal of the game in the 33rd minute when referee Bernard Dumfe awarded them a penalty.
Midfielder Tetteh Nortey stepped up and converted from the penalty spot sending the home fans into delirium.

The win takes Elaina Sharks to 6th on the log with 12 points.
