Midfielder Abdul Ganiu caught the Blues defenders unaware and steered home a powerful header to poke All Stars into the lead mid-way through the first-half.

All Stars entered the game as season half-time champions after topping the table but their temperament was tampered with following their unanticipated exit from the MTN FA Cup.

The Blues lined up striker Saddick Adams who remained with the Berekum-based giants despite huge interest from Aduana Stars and Hearts of Oak.

Though the statistics favoured Solomon Odwo's men after triumphing 6 times against All Stars' 4 in their all-time 15 clashes but none of their last 7 trips to the Upper West Region has ever produced results.

All Stars lead the table with 31 points, 2 better than second-placed Hearts of Oak who pipped Dreams FC 1-0.
