Asante Kotoko head coach Maxwell Konadu believes the changes he made in his tactics at the second half break in the match against Legon Cities on Friday night helped them to eventually emerge as 3-1 winners.

The experienced gaffer admitted his troops lost the battle in midfield in the first half and were eclipsed by Goran Barjaktarevic's side.

The Porcupine Warriors canceled Papadopoulos Panagiotis one goal through Augustine Okrah before the first-half whistle.

Emmanuel Gyamfi had the second goal for Kotoko on the 51st minute after intercepting Emmanuel Suleiman's back pass, raced forward before slotting into the bottom left corner for Kotoko to take the lead. Just after the hour mark, Songne Yacouba delivered a sweet cross from the right which was headed in by Gyamfi-for his brace.

''It was a good game, we played much better in the second half,'' he said in his post-match speech.

''They started 4-3-3 with two holding midfielders and that gave us problems, we came with an antidote in the second half and dominated the game.''
