Medeama must negotiate for victory against Accra Lions without influential duo of Derrek Fordjour and Theophilus Anobah.
The Yellow and Mauves begins their Ghana Premier League title defense against the Accra-based club at the Akoon Community Park this afternoon.
The game was postponed by the Ghana FA to allow Medeama prepare for their CAF Champions League final eliminator first leg tie against Horoya AC.
Ahead of the game, Evans Adotey, who is the trainer of Medeama has disclosed the club will be without the duo due injuries.
“On our platform, the medical team is always in touch. After training, we wanted to know the players ready for the Lions game and I can disclose Anobah and Fordjour are out of the game, we have to replace them in the game” he said at the pre-match conference.
Medeama will hope to start the season on good note as they seek to defend the title.
