Medeama SC give players one-week break due to Covid-19 outbreak

Ghana Premier League leaders Medeama SC have joined a host of clubs to break camp following the suspension of the league due to the outbreak of coronavirus.

The Ghana Football Association has suspended all its competitions with immediate effect until further notice following the directives given by the President of the Republic.

The club has officially released its players for seven days and they are expected to resume full training on Wednesday March 25, 2020 in Tarkwa.

Below is the statement:

"Medeama have handed players and officials a one week break due to the outbreak of the deadly Coronavirus disease.

"The Mauve and Yellows will regroup on Wednesday March 25, 2020 in Tarkwa.

"Local football has taken a hit due to the outbreak of the deadly disease which has claimed several lives.

"The Tarkwa-based side has joined a list of Ghanaian clubs who have taken a break due to the rampaging virus.

"The club is taking precautionary measures to ensure players and staff are safe from the deadly disease."
