Medeama SC skipper Joseph Tetteh Zutah retires from football

Medeama SC has announced that club icon Joseph Tetteh Zutah would complete his 15-year relationship as a player on Sunday, February 5, 2023.

The great club captain will bid farewell to the supporters at the Akoon Community Park on Sunday during the Ghana Premier League matchweek 16 clash against Samartex.

Tetteh Zutah established a reputation as an amazing player and is now the club's impressive chief administrator, entirely committed to the progress of Medeama SC.

The club's official statement reads:

“He will hand the captain’s armband to Kwasi Donsu and bid farewell to the fans.”

“The midfielder goes down in history as the most loyal and dedicated Medeama footballer to have graced the pitch in Tarkwa. He embodies everything the club stands for.”

The fan favorite made 430 appearances for the Mauve and Yellow and amassed over 100 goals and assists.

With Medeama, he twice captured the Ghana FA Cup in 2013 and 2015.

The former player for Wassaman United will continue to serve as the club's administrator, according to Medeama.

Currently, he serves as vice president of the Ghana Professional Footballers Association (PFAG).
