Sports minister Hon Nii Lante Vanderpuye has tagged the management of the senior national team the Black Stars as lazy for failing to raise a local side to represent Ghana in the final 2017 AFCON qualifier at home against Rwanda.
The Black Stars have already qualified for next year's tournament having amassed thirteen (13) points so far from 5 games played.
The Rwandans are in second place with six (6) points and will need to win against Ghana to cement their place in the tournament proper alongside Ghana.
"If Rwanda can raise a national team from their local league and Ghana cannot do this, it is mere laziness" He told Happy FM.
Head Coach Avram Grant is however yet to welcome his squad in Accra for training since the players are yet to arrive due to lack of cash to fly them down by the sports ministry.
