Arsenal are reportedly ready to launch a €35m bid that could see Julian Draxler arrive at the Emirates Stadium in January, after falling out of favour at Wolfsburg after being booed by fans earlier this month and reiterating his desire to leave.

According to RMCin France, Paris Saint-Germain are looking to make a firm offer of their own of around €30m. The reigning French champions were knocked back with an approach during the summer when Wolfsburg were thought to want €80m.

The circumstances have significantly changed since then, although it is said that the struggling Bundesliga side are still looking for at least €40m.

PSG are likely to make first contact, but Arsenal are, surprisingly, closer to the asking price at this moment in time, which could give them the early advantage. Juventus are also said to still hold interest in the German World Cup winner.

Arsenal were first linked with Draxler more than three years ago when he was still plying his trade with Schalke. No deal could ever be agreed but the Gunners have rarely been too far away whenever his name has been mentioned in the gossip columns since.
