Ghana midfielder Michael Essien could join Turkish side Galatasaray on a free transfer next week. Reports in the Turkish media suggest Essien’s agent has opened talks with managers of the Turkish giants to sign the former Chelsea player.
Essien is a free agent after terminating his contract with Greek side Panaithinaikos where injuries blighted his season.
He will be hoping to rediscover his form if a deal is reached with Turkish side.
In 2014, Galatasaray nearly took Essien on loan from Chelsea.
