Michael Essien's luxury houses in Accra set for auction - Report

Former Chelsea and Black Stars midfielder, Michael Essien, is facing the auction of his two houses in East Legon and Trassaco, as reported by The Daily Guide Newspaper.

The sale of these properties was ordered by the Deputy Sheriff of the High Court (Commercial Division) on June 12, 2024.

The properties in question are situated at Stephen Quarshie Crescent, East Legon, House Number 9, and House Number 204/205, Trassaco (Phase 2) Adjiringano, all located in Accra.

An auctioneer, who preferred to remain anonymous, disclosed that one of the properties is estimated to be valued between $20 million and $30 million.

Known by his nicknames "the Bull" or "the Bison," Essien enjoyed a successful career playing for top clubs such as Chelsea, AC Milan, Bastia, and Real Madrid.

He was recognized as one of the highest-paid players on the African continent.

Essien currently works at FC Nordsjælland as an assistant coach and a mentor to the academy’s many talents.
