Michael Osei set for Asante Kotoko return – Reports

Former Bibiani Goldstars tactician, Michael Osei is set to make a sensational return to Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko SC as manager.

Osei, 52, has being touted as favourite to land Asante Kotoko SC job should Prosper Nertey Ogum be shown the exit door.

The one-time Ghana Premier League winning coach Ogum is under pressure and under severe scrutiny following his poor run of form especially in the second round of 2023/24 league campaign.

The Porcupine Warriors has been in dismal form, losing four and drawing one in their last five games.

He's exit the Ghana FA Cup following defeat to Karela United FC in round 16 and now sit 10th on the league log with 33 points.

According to Journalist, Kolog Bonaventure, the Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the Ghanaian giants, are not excited with his performance and considering firing Ogum with reports in Kumasi hinting that, former Bibiani GoldStars FC boss is favourite to land the job.

Osei recently left GoldStars and currently unattached but boost of vast experience having managed GoldStars for two-and-a-half season. Source reveals, that contact between the club and Micheal Osei camp and initial formats has been made but no concrete details exposed.

The German trained tactician Osei nonetheless, has not ruled out a possible return to the Premier League record holder's (25), insisting it would be an honour to manage his former club once again but keeping his cards to his chest as he awaits the unfolding.

The former Ghana international is currently in German with his family for a break since leaving Bibiani GoldStars FC.
