Milovan Rajevac submits squad for 2021 AFON to Ghana FA

Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac has submitted his 40-man provisional squad to the Ghana Football Association for approval ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations next year.

The 67-year-old is expected to announce the squad that will embark on training camp in the United Arab Emirate next week.

It is believed four local players have been named in the provisional list which includes Hearts of Oak goalie Richard Attah, Asante Kotoko captain Ishmael Ganiyu, Fatawu Issahaku of Dreams FC and Philemon Baffuor.

The four players will join 36 other players that will leave Ghana for camping in the United Arab Emirates on December 22, 2021.

He will then prune his squad to 28 for the Nations Cup in Cameroon from January 9 to February 6, 2021.

Meanwhile, Southampton defender Mohammed Salisu has turned down the request to play for the Black Stars at the continental showpiece.

The four-time African Champions are chasing a fifth Africa Cup of Nations title after last winning the competition in 1982.
