Ghana star Mohammed Kudus is open to a transfer after rejecting a new contract offer from Dutch giants, Ajax, his agent Jennifer Mendelewitsch has confirmed.

The Black Stars midfielder has been Ajax main man this season, scoring 18 goals and providing 7 assists across competitions.

Kudus has become a subject of interest for several clubs in Europe including Manchester United, Dortmund and others due to his swashbuckling performance this season.

Earlier report suggested the former FC Nordjaelland star has turned down a one-year contract extension offer from the Dutch giants.

However, Mendelewitsch, who is the agent of player in an interview confirmed her client has declined a new offer from the club as he seeks for a move.

“What I can say is that after the World Cup and this season, there is a lot of interest in Kudus. I think it is best for both Ajax and Mohammed that he makes a transfer now. Now is the right time. He has ignored a proposal to extend his contract until the summer of 2026." She said.

The Black Stars midfielder current contract with Ajax is expected to expire in the summer of 2025.

Ajax are said to have slapped a price tag of £40m on the former FC Nordjaelland star.

The 22-year-old joined Ajax in 2020 from FC Nordjaelland on 9 million Euros deal and has since established himself as a key cog to the club.
