Mohammed Kudus explains how he beat Andre Onana to score his sixth Premier League goal

Ghana star Mohammed Kudus has explained how he executed his right footed strike against Manchester United on Saturday for his sixth Premier League goal of the season.

The attacking midfielder picked on a loose ball and played a one-two with the silky Lucas Paqueta before firing it past goalkeeper Andre Onana at the London Stadium.

The 23-year-old has now scored 10 goals for West Ham United in 17 starts since his summer switch from Ajax.

Speaking after the game, Mohammed Kudus was full of praise for himself for scoring a good goal with his weak right foot.

“That [scoring goals] is what I’m here to do,” he smiled. “I’ve got the best seat in the stadium when I celebrate my goals too.

“Lucas gave me the ball on the edge of the box and the defender was coming on my left side, so I had no option but to go on my right. I believed in it, trusted my intuition and it was a good goal.”

Mohammed Kudus is part of Ghana’s provisional squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations and will be integral if the Black Stars are to achieve anything significant in Ivory Coast.
