Mohammed Kudus is the seventh player in the last 15 years to score, assist and not misplace a pass in a CL match

Ghana's Mohammed Kudus produced a fantastic performance in Ajax's Champions League game against Scottish club Rangers on Wednesday evening.

Ajax coach Alfred Schreuder started the Black Stars midfielder in attack replacing Brian Brobbey.

Kudus grabbed this opportunity after making cameos in the league for the Dutch giants. His first major contribution to Ajax was to assist Steven Berghuis's goal in the 32nd minute.

He then got on the scoresheet himself in the 33rd minute. The former FC Nordsjaelland player took the ball and powered his way past the Rangers marker then unleash a shot that hit the post and went in.

Ajax coach Alfred Schreuder and the entire Ajax bench applauded the goal.

Well-known football stats platform Opta after the game posted an interesting stat. According to Opta, Kudus is the seventh player to score, assist and not misplace a pass in a Champions League game.
