Ghana attacker Mohammed Kudus has overtaken Andre Ayew as the highest-scoring Ghanaian in West Ham United’s history.

This comes after the 23-year-old scored for the Hammers in their 4-3 defeat to Newcastle United on Saturday afternoon.

The goal was his 13th for the club across all competitions, just surpassing Andre Ayew’s 12 for West Ham United across two seasons.

Mohammed Kudus has achieved this feat in 15 fewer games for the London club - doing so in 35 games while Andre Ayew needed 50 games.

Mohammed Kudus has scored seven goals in the Premier League in 25 appearances and provided four assists.

He has one more in three games in the English League Cup - a stunning strike that kicked Arsenal out of the competition.

Meanwhile, he has five for the Hammers in seven Europa League matches where he scored a special solo goal against Freiburg the last time out in the round of 16, ending up with a brace.
