The thumping strike by Ghana international Mohammed Kudus has been named the Ajax Goal of the Month for September.
The talented forward was in stellar form last month and scored a lot of goals in the Dutch Eredivisie and Uefa Champions League.
In a Round 2 encounter of the Champions League in Group A, Mohammed Kudus scored a beauty as his Ajax side lost 2-1 to Liverpool at Anfield.
Today, Ajax has announced that the strike from Mohammed Kudus has been voted by fans as the Goal of the Month.
Speaking after receiving the accolade, the Black Stars poster boy credited his teammates while stressing that it is a motivation to continue working hard.
“It was one hell of a strike. Thanks to everyone who voted for me. It’s an inspiration for me and I keep working hard,” Mohammed Kudus told the media team of Ajax.
