Mohammed Kudus will be important for every team – West Ham boss David Moyes

West Ham United boss David Moyes says Ghana star Mohammed Kudus will be important for any team that he plays for.

The Scottish coach is saying this on the back of having to lose the 23-year-old attacking midfielder to Ghana for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Hammers were pushing to have the former Ajax man play against Brighton and Hove on Tuesday night before leaving for the tournament.

However, this plea was rejected by Ghana as head coach Chris Hughton fears Kudus will be at risk of injury if he is allowed to feature in the game.

Speaking ahead of the Brighton game at the London Stadium, Moyes emphasized how important Mo Kudus is, no matter the team he is playing for.

“He (Kudus) is a really important player, so he will be to any team. We are hoping that there is a chance he could be [available for the Brighton].”

Chris Hughton at his presser revealing Ghana’s squad said Kudus is dealing with a slight injury issue and would join the team at a later date.
