Mohammed Salisu trains with Black Stars ahead of Friday's friendly against Nigeria

AS Monaco defender Mohammed Salisu will play a part in Ghana’s March international friendlies against Nigeria and Uganda after fighting off an injury.

The former Southampton man was has just recovered from an injury and has not played for his club for nearly three weeks but was named in the squad by head coach Otto Addo.

The 24-year-old reported to camp and trained with the team in their final session before Friday’s friendly against the Super Eagles of Nigeria in Marrakech, Morocco.

It is unknown if Mohammed Salisu will be in the squad for the game after just taking part in one session.

This season, Mohammed Salisu has featured in just eight French Ligue 1 games and provided one assist.

Ghana will face Nigeria at 4 pm on Friday before taking on Uganda next week Tuesday to wrap up their match international break.

Re-appointed Black Stars head coach, Otto Addo will be using the two games as preps for their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in June.
