The Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture have settled 2 months out of the 6 months salary arrears owed the former technical team members of the Black Stars, footballghana.com can report.

This has been confirmed by ace sportscaster Kofi Asare Brako who serves as the spokesperson and personal aid to the Minister for Youth and Sports, Hon. Isaac Kwame Asiamah.

“The Black Stars technical team was dissolved in December 2019 so obviously they were part. They have also been paid 2 months of their salary arrears because it was not just Kwesi Appiah who was owed", he said in an interview with Nhyira FM.

According to Kofi Asare Brako, the Ministry of Youth and Sports is making arrangements and the remaining 4 months arrears will also be cleared very soon.

“Stephen Appiah, Olele Kingson, and Ibrahim Tanko have all been sorted for those two months. Very soon the rest of the salary arrears plus all winning bonuses will be paid", he added.

Meanwhile, ex-Black Stars head coach James Kwesi Appiah has also received two months of his salary arrears with the rest expected to be paid in no time.
