Al Batin secured a crucial 1-0 win against Al Khaleej on Thursday in the Saudi Pro League, thanks to an early goal by Yousef Al-Shammari. Ghana midifielder Mudasiru Salifu was a standout performer for Al Batin.

Salifu, who is on loan at Al Batin from Ghanaian club Kumasi Asante Kotoko, played the full 90 minutes of the game and put in an impressive display.

The midfielder had a total of 43 touches on the ball and completed 18 of his 23 passes. He also won three tackles, made 11 clearances, and had two interceptions.

Salifu recovered the ball eight times and won all five ground duels he contested, as well as two aerial duels.

The win was crucial for Al Batin, who are currently at the bottom of the table with just nine points from 20 games.

The three points gained from the victory against Al Khaleej could prove vital in their battle to avoid relegation from the top flight.

Salifu has played seven games for Al Batin since joining the club on loan in January.
