Muntari has impacted Ghana Premier League not only Hearts of Oak – Alhaji Akambi

Accra Hearts of Oak Board member Alhaji Braimah Moro popularly known as Alhaji Akambi believes Sulley Muntari has impacted the Ghana Premier League and not only the Phobians.

The 37-year-old has been impressive after returning to the domestic top-flight to join Hearts of Oak.

He has scored one and provided one assists in five league matches since his return.

The former Inter and AC Milan star has been backed by many Ghanaians to make the Black Stars for the Nigeria World Cup play-off next week due to his explosive display.

Reacting to Muntari’s performance, Akambi noted his arrival has benefited the entire league not only Hearts of Oak.

“I will want the public to judge Muntari’s impact, in our game against Aduana Stars, a lot fans came purposely because of him but it was unfortunate he didn’t travel with us. When you get players like this coming back into our GPL especially when the player is doing well, it attracts a lot of fans to the stadium, so Muntari has impact the league and not only Hearts of Oak” he said.

Hearts of Oak will host Ashantigold in matchday 21 of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
