A former Morocco international, Mustapha Beidoudane has indicated that he hopes the Atlas Lions can finally improve and play with more ferocity after encountering Ghana in a friendly match.

According to him, the North African side under Welsh tactician Vahid Halilhodzic as their head coach has lost their identity.

While he is of the view that the Morocco national team no longer plays with aggression, Mustapha Beidoudane says he is confident things will change after the hard-fought 1-0 win against the Black Stars of Ghana last Tuesday.

“The Moroccan team plays calmly and without physical rush with Halilhodzic, and I hope that the players will regain that ferocity, which is one of the important weapons in African competitions,” he said.

Mustapha Beidoudane added, “I am optimistic that the Moroccan national team will perform at a good level, especially that the players' morale is high because most of them signed a good season."

This weekend, the Atlas Lions of Morocco is set to take on Burkina Faso in another friendly match.
