Ghana international, Jeffery Schlupp has stressed how important his stunning goal against Fulham United over the weekend means to him.

Schlupp enjoyed the full throttle of the game as Crystal Palace whipped Fulham 2:0 at Craven Cottage

The former Leciester City defender scored the opener for his side after flourishing in a more offensive role before Winfred Zaha seasled the win.

He said after the game,"'You could see how much it meant to me with the celebration and what a time to do it, I have waited a long time and enjoyed that one."

The 25-year-old adds he has formed a good relationship with Patrick Van Anholt on the left, which has made it easier for him to thrive going forward.

'Patrick (van Aanholt) and I have a great understanding down that left-hand side, the moment he got the ball there was a bit of eye contact for me to show him where I wanted the pass and he played it perfectly and I just had to concentrate on hitting the target, it went in so I am happy."
