Nainggolan likes post from angry Roma supporter

Roma’s decision to sell Radja Nainggolan against his will this summer still clearly rankles with the midfielder, who liked an Instagram post from a fan upset by the club’s summer business.

The Belgian was the first of several big-name players to depart the Stadio Olimpico this summer when he was sold to Inter, much to his own initial chagrin, having made it clear that he wanted to remain in the Eternal City.

He was followed by Alisson, who made the move to Champions League finalists Liverpool, and this week another midfielder was moved on by the club when Marseille swooped to sign Kevin Strootman, something which did not sit well with one Giallorossi fan.

After Nainggolan replied to a Strootman post on Instagram in which he thanked Roma with a video in which the Belgian wished him luck, one fan chimed in with a reply to his post.

“Are Monchi and [James] Pallotta also going to sell [Edin] Dzeko now on August 30?” the user asked, which was met with a like from Nainggolan on social media.

When Nainggolan himself was sold by the club to the Beneamata, he made it clear that it was ‘the choice of the club which I had to respect’.
