Nations Football Club Brands Manager, Kennedy Boakye Ansah, has conceded that his team is no longer in the running to win the Ghana Premier League title.

The team is currently 4th on the Ghana Premier League table 48 points after 31 games, seven points behind league leaders FC Samartex.

In an interview with Citi Sports, Boakye Ansah expressed his disappointment at the team's missed opportunity to win the league. "We almost had an opportunity to win the league but unfortunately based on a few setbacks, we couldn’t achieve that," he said.

Despite the setback, Boakye Ansah praised the team's efforts and commended the players for their hard work. "We are excited, we are proud of the boys. Basically, most of the boys came from Division One; some of the results, especially the home draws that we’ve had were things that if they had had that experience, probably we would have won those games," he added.

Nations FC will face Accra Hearts of Oak on matchday 32 of the Ghana Premier League campaign. Both teams will be looking to bounce back from their recent defeats and secure maximum points in the crucial encounter to be played at the Accra Sports Stadium this weekend.
