New Chelsea captain Gary Cahill admits he senses the pressure of the need to win silverware this season.
The last time the Blues defended the Premier League crown, two seasons ago, they finished 10th in the table and failed to claim any trophies.
Cahill said: “The pressure is on. We won something last season and this season [the pressure] will be no different.
“We need to prepare well and to realise what happened the last time we won the title. There are still a lot of players here that were involved in that. They have had that experience and they don't want it again."
Chelsea face Arsenal in the Community Shield on Sunday.
