New England Revolution coach Bruce Arena excited with Emmanuel Boateng’s signing

The head coach for New England Revolution, Bruce Arena has expressed delight to the signing of Emmanuel Boateng as he notes that the attacker will improve his team.

The club on Thursday completed the signing of the Ghanaian international on a free transfer having parted ways with Columbus Crew at the end of the 2020 MLS season.

Speaking to the media team of the club on the signing of the experienced forward, coach Bruce Arena shared that the qualities of the player will help improve the team.

“Ema Boateng is an experienced left-footed attacking player with very good pace. He is comfortable playing on the flanks, which is an area where he can help improve our team.

“Ema’s character and professionalism will be welcomed additions to our team, and we look forward to his arrival in Foxborough,” the coach who doubles as the Sporting Director for New England Revolution said.

Emmanuel Boateng, 22, will team up with his new teammates later this month to prepare for the 2021 MLS season.
