New Black Stars technical team will excel - Ex-goalkeeper Fatau Dauda

Former Black Stars goalkeeper, Fatau Dauda believes the newly assembled technical team for the national team will do well.

Chris Hughton has been named as Otto Addo's successor as announced by the Ghana Football Association [GFA] weeks ago.

Addo left his role as the head coach of the team following the country's early exit at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Hughton, who worked as the technical advisor for the national team will be assisted by George Boateng and Didi Dramani.

And according to Dauda, the new technical team will live up to expectations.

"Chris Hughton and his assistants were with the Black Stars for the World Cup playoffs against Nigeria and led the team to the Mundial in Qatar," the former Ashgold and Legon Cities goalkeeper told Accra-based Asempa FM as monitored by Footballghana.com.

"For me, maintaining them was the best decision. I think they will maintain most of the players that played at the World Cup.

"The new technical team are wise and for me, they will perform," he added.

Chris Hughton will play his first game against Angola in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON] qualifiers later this month.
