Nigeria superstar Victor Osimhen speaks on Christian Atsu’s demise

Nigeria international, Victor Osimhen has disclosed that his heart was broken when he learned of the death of Ghana forward Christian Atsu.

Describing the deceased Black Stars forward as an African brother, the SSC Napoli star said he sends his condolences to the family of all the victims of the devastating Turkey earthquake.

In an interview with DHA, Victor Osimhen shared, “The earthquakes in Turkey? I don’t know how much my jersey was sold for; even my teammates like Bartosz Bereszynski and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia sold their jerseys.

“Eljif Elmas organized this campaign and of course, we supported it. My condolences to those who lost their lives in the earthquakes. I also lost an African brother in these earthquakes, Christian Atsu from Ghana.”

Christian Atsu’s passing did not only break the heart of Victor Osimhen but many players around the world.

In Ghana, the former Chelsea player has been mourned for weeks. His funeral is scheduled to be held in Accra on March 17.
