No local players in Black Stars is not good for our brand - Great Olympics coach Bismark Kobi Mensah

Accra Great Olympics head coach Bismark Kobi Mensah has stated that having no player from the domestic league in the Black Stars squad is not good for the league.

There are no domestic based players in Black Stars coach Chris Hughton's twenty-five man squad to face Angola at the Baba Yara Sports stadium on Thursday, March 23rd.

"What I said was that one it is not good for our brand because we keep on saying that our league is not competitive. Some are saying it is competitive others are saying it is dead. So my point is that if we call a whole national team Black Stars when league is going on in this country and no player is invited it is not good for our brand," he told Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com

"Two these players they don't even get good salary here so seriously they are not motivated so if another hope of them staying here or playing in this country and they don't get it that if they stay here and play football they will get a call up it discourages them"
