Jan Laursen, the Sporting Director for FC Nordsjaelland has opened up on interest from clubs to sign winger Mohammed Kudus this summer.

Following a breakthrough season in the Danish Superliga, the Ghana international has become a transfer target of many top European clubs.

In the last 6 months, the 19-year-old has been linked with moves to clubs in the German Bundesliga as well as the English Premier League.

Speaking in a recent interview, Nordsjaelland Sporting Director Jan Laursen has disclosed that there are clubs sniffing around in hopes of signing Mohammed Kudu in the next transfer window.

“There have been rumors since he broke through, and we have to deal with that properly. Sometimes we have to give space for players to think about what is going to happen going forward”, he said as quoted by Bold.

Jan Laursen continued, “This winter there were clubs knocking, but then the whole world was put on hold with the corona crisis. Now we have started again, and then the door is knocked again.

“It was in the cards when we extended with Kudus that this season we should see if he could take the next step.

“When you play in FCN, there is a lot of interest and a great focus, but you are not changed until a press release is signed and we are not there.”

The impressive exploits of Mohammed Kudus this past year have earned him a nomination for the 2020 Golden Boy award.
