Top Norwegian sports journalist Ivar Hoff has noted that Gilbert Koomson needs to be sidelined at SK Brann following his recent incident where he ditched training.
Last week Wednesday, the highly-rated forward failed to report to training. Though reports suggested that it was a move by the Ghana international to push for a move to Turkish club BB Erzurumspor, he returned to training the next day to explain that he was not himself.
On the same day, Gilbert Koomson apologized to his teammates and trained with the side to prepare for their game on Sunday against Bodø/Glimt.
For ace Norwegian sports journalist Ivar Hoff, he believes, the attacker will be bad for the team and should be sidelined.
“I had cut out Koomson. You do not win matches with such players in the stable. What signal do you send to the rest of the team if you take him in again? Ivar Hoff told FotballXtra after Gilbert Koomson returned to the team.
This season, the forward has 8 goals to his name after featuring in 17 matches. He has openly stated that he wants to move to Turkey.
