In a move that is set to fortify Atalanta's defensive lineup, Atalanta has officially welcomed Ghanaian defender Isak Hien into its fold.

The club confirmed the acquisition on its official website, revealing that Hien has inked a deal that binds him to Atalanta until the summer of 2028, wearing shirt number 4.

Born in Sweden but boasting a strong Ghanaian heritage, the 24-year-old Hien adds an international flair to Atalanta's squad. His journey to Bergamo involves a switch from league competitor Hellas Verona, with Atalanta securing his services in a transaction that underlines the club's commitment to strengthening its defensive prowess.

Hien's football journey saw him arrive at Hellas Verona in the summer of 2022 from Allsvenskan Djurgårdens IF. During his tenure with Verona, the talented defender showcased his skills in 44 competitive matches.

Notably, Djurgården, his former club, is poised to benefit from his success with a percentage of the transfer fee, as a resale clause has been incorporated into the deal.
