OFFICIAL: Sulley Muntari signs for Deportivo La Coruna

Ghana midfielder Sulley Ali Muntari has joined Spanish La Liga side Deportivo La Coruna till the end of the season.

The former AC Milan midfielder joins the club after leaving Pescara last summer. Muntari has been inactive since leaving the Italians following the controversy surrounding the racial chants he suffered in a Serie A game against Cagliari.

However, the versatile player joins the struggling Deportivo side, who are fighting for survival, untill the end of the season, and has an option to extend his stay at the end of the season to a further year.

He joins former teammate and friend Clarence Seedorf who was recently appointed manager of the La Liga Club.

The club announced the signing of Sulley Muntari on their twitter handle, welcoming the former Champions League winner.

 

Seportivo La Coruna are 19th on the La Liga table with 17 points from 24 games. Sulley Muntari is expected to help the club avoid the drop with his enormous amount of his experience.
