King Faisal bankroller Alhaji Grunsah had kind words for the recently deceased Opoku Afriyie Bayie, describing him as a 'faithful' person during his playing days.
The 1978 AFCON winner lost his life earlier this week and a lot of players, fans and coaches have paid tribute to a man they considered as one of the best ever Ghanaian strikers.
In an interview with Asempa FM, Grusah gave a picture of their relationship.
"Opoku Afriyie is someone I will never forget”.
“During his playing days at King Faisal, he was very discipline and he always remembered what I did for him. Anytime he travels or goes for a tournament, I am the first person he talks to when he returns.
“When he left for Asante Kotoko, I did not demand for a penny from Kotoko and Opoku Afriyie but he was still faithful to me."
